About the Artist

Jeff Herr is one of the best known artists in Luxembourg. His Jazz trio, The Jeff Herr Corporation is signed to Igloo Records in Brussels and is one of the most international  Luxembourgish acts. Jeff has performed with the Grund Club Voices several times, teaming up with Tom Heck and with Nick Sauber on bass.

Jeff’s studies started at the Conservatoire of Luxembourg City, where he studied solfège, classical percussion, drums, latin percussion, harmony and piano with Guy Frisch, Al Ginter, Rainer Kind and others. He carried on his studies at the Maastricht Conservatorium, specialising in jazz music and drumset with Ron Van Stratum, Arnoud Gerritse, Jamal Thomas and Oliver Strauch, and he also attended workshops with Nippy Noya, Changuito and Phil Maturano…

Below we have listed a selection of artists that Jeff has played with and a selection of venues, festivals and events that Jeff has played at. Most notably for the Grund Club, Jeff has played drums in Remo Cavallini’s band for many years and is the drummer with the Lata Gouveia Band.

Jeff joined the Grund Club in 2017, by performing two shows with the Grund Club Voices at the Neimeinster Cultural Centre, under the musical direction of Sven Sauber. On these occasions, Jeff played with Nick Sauber, Tom Heck, Priscila da Costa, Sitta, and Lata Gouveia. We look forward to having Jeff representing the club again soon.
